Mission
EXTATIC is an Erasmus Mundus Joint Doctorate programme of the European Union that offers high-level training in extreme ultraviolet (EUV) and X-ray science to a new generation of high achieving graduate students. Our scientific objective is to advance development of laboratory-scale short wavelength sources and their applications in order to widen access to techniques that are normally accessed at large-scale facilities.
EXTATIC brings together a critical mass of well-established partners who have wide experience in diverse PhD student supervision and training models. The EXTATIC consortium is active in all major laboratory source technologies with a wide range of applications in physics, engineering and biomedicine.
